'When I arrived at the Cannards well I received a warm friendly greeting from the staff and owner. So much so I engaged in a 20 minutes conversation with the owner who I found to be a witty and interesting man. I was shown to my by a member of staff, who again could not do enough to help and again in was done in a genuine friendly way. Needles to say if I require accommodation in this area again. The Cannards well will most certainly the place I book. I use hotels weekly due to my occupation.... the staff at the Cannards are 1st rate, top notch ... they should be the bench mark for hotel staff' - April 2019

'Great little pub/hotel to visit the South West. Reasonable rates, good filling food and excellent range of local ciders. Parking is right next to entrance and nice outdoor space. Will arrange group dinner for bigger bookings and provide a lot of food!' - April 2019

'If you're looking for a luxurious night away this isn't it, however if you're looking for a cheap night with excellent people running the place, then this is the place. The reason I give 5 stars is purely because of the price, the people and the parking. The breakfast filled a big hole too setting me up for my day. I paid £29 for a single room with parking, WiFi and breakfast' - March 2019

'We went this Eastern for two days and they made us feel like home. Our room was very nice, with beatiful views. The restaurant was also very nice, with vegan options if you like to. They even drove us to Glastonbury for free. I highly recommend this place' - April 2019

'Stayed for two-nights in the Easter school holidays. Hotel is a great location for nearby attractions like, Wookey Hole, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge. First impressions upon arrival were how big the family suite I had booked was, fully equipped with all you could need. Ate in the restaurant first night, food good and staff friendly. Breakfast was lovely, definitely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had whilst away! If I could pick any fault about this place would be the noise coming from the road as it’s situated on a very busy road. But just bring some earplugs if this is something that bothers you! Otherwise we had a great stay, would definitely return and great value for money' - April 2019
